This work began with a question: how can architectural rhythm be expressed through clay while evoking the stillness of nature? Rather than mimicking buildings, I translated verticality, repetition, and balance into hand-built forms. Each piece is composed of stacked modules, shaped on the wheel or by hand, echoing spires and ornaments in simplified form. Natural tones—greens, blues, and stone—are mixed into the clay, grounding the work in landscape. Some surfaces feature soft marbling, recalling tree rings or sediment. The forms are unglazed, matte, and meant to be viewed closely. They aim to soften the authority of architectural structure and offer an intimate space for reflection, where color and form invite quiet attention. Instead of prescribing meaning, I allow ambiguity—encouraging viewers to move slowly and find resonance in the balance between human-made order and the presence of nature. In this way, the work functions less as representation and more as quiet suggestion. It invites a sensory reading, where rhythm is not only seen but also felt in the stillness between forms.
