Concept of artwork 設計理念:

This passive cooling device harnesses the natural evaporative cooling properties of ceramics, inspired by the Muscatese system. As wind passes through the porous ceramic structure, water evaporates and absorbs heat, lowering the surrounding temperature. Made from recycled ceramic waste and reservoir silt, the piece is 3D-printed to enhance airflow and sustainability-requiring no electricity to cool indoor spaces.

台灣陶瓷生產中常因燒製失敗或破損而產生大量廢棄瓷料,同時石門水庫淤積問題嚴重,清淤後的淤泥多被棄置。此計畫結合兩種廢料,研發再生陶土,搭配陶瓷3D列印技術,開發具被動降溫效果的室內裝置。藉由水分滲透與蒸發原理,實現節能環保目標,為材料循環與氣候友善設計提供新可能。
