In life, we are constantly confined and limited by many things, requir-ing us to break through constantly. The black fabric around gradually recedes like a state of having broken through, while the protruding white parts represent a state of ongoing breaking through. The work aims to depict that there are many things in life that we constantly need to be break through.

During the production process, I learned that the elastic fabric’s stretched state is very different from its folded and creased state. This allows for more changes and extensions in shaping, creating a variety of creases on the fabric.
