The overall shape of this ceramic vessel is a simple, flowing tile form, with a strong emphasis on the mouth of the vessel, which is richly varied with interludes and turns. The contrast between the straight and curved lines, one soft and the other rigid, and the black speckled glaze add a strong visual impact.
