Concept of artwork 設計理念:
Drinking tea is a ancient cultural treasure. NOMO references the precious heritage of Asian tea culture an its classical shapes of utensiles, but transfers this into a contemporary and culturally universal design. Rather than a short-lived piece of decoration, NOMO aims at being a long-used and appreciated tool serving the significant purpose of enjoying tea. Therefore it features clear lines and details, and subtle, timeless colors.

The proportions and weight are based on the large tea pot. Beyond the large pot, NOMO consist of a smaller pot, different types of cups, a milk server and a candle holder. The base material is slip-cast stoneware coming in range of colored glazes.

A beautiful collection of contemporary tea ware. I think there is a market for this work in Europe and particularly in the UK, galleries like Flow Gallery and Contemporary ceramics. This is a really accomplished body of work - congratulations to the designer!
