Ming Bai is the Director of the Department of Ceramic Art in the College of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, he is a famous Chinese contemporary ceramic artist, painter, and a member of the International Academy of Ceramics.

2016年9月，荣获景德镇市“荣誉市民”和上虞市“荣誉市民”；
2016年10月，在北京中国人保总部举办“白明•生生不息”个展；
2017年4月，在北京民生现代美术馆举办“醍昂——白明的国度”大型个展。
2017年7月，于葡萄牙建筑、艺术与科技博物馆举办“白•蓝” 白明-里斯本个展；
2017年9月， 在香港举办“新器象”白明作品展；
2017年11月，在美国LACOSTE画廊举办“Bai Ming•波士顿”个展；
2018年6月，在法国萨拉贡美术馆举办“明”个展；
2018年9月，在意大利威尼斯奎里尼艺术基金会现代美术馆举办“白明师生展”。
2018年11月，受邀在法国巴黎的弗朗索瓦兹画廊举办个展“光明之碑”。
在中国、法国、韩国、美国、葡萄牙举办个展共计20余次。
出版著作11种23卷，个人作品集20余种。
Self introduction 評審介紹
Bai Ming, born in Yugan, Jiangxi Province, is a famous Chinese contemporary ceramic artist and painter. A s a Director of the Department of Ceramic Art in the College of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, he is also a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC)of UNESCO, the Secretary-General of the Ceramic Art Council of China Artists Association (CAA), a member of China Artists Association (CAA) and China Oil Painting Society (COPS), the art director of China Ceramic Art Net( www.artcn.net.) the Executive Editor of China Ceramic Artist magazine, the distinguished professor of Art and Design of Hubei University, a visiting professor of Guangxi Arts Institute
In the year of 2001, he spent half a year in the United States working, lecturing and holding exhibitions at the invitation of the international Clay Studio in Philadelphia and several universities. He was invited to give lectures in Switzerland and hold exhibitions there the following year. In 2004, he was honored the “Contribution Award for Popularizing China Contemporary Ceramic Art”in the Great Hall of the People.In 2005 and 2009, he went to the United States to lecture at the invitation of American universities again. In 2009, Bai Ming was invited to give lectures and held his solo exhibition of work in France. In 2010, invited by the UNESCO International Ceramics Association, Chinese Cultural Centre of Paris and the Poitiers Confucius Institute,The Story of Eastern Ceramic: Bai Ming Ceramic Art Exhibition projected by Jinan Yin is held in Paris, which is the only one on behalf of China in 2010 Paris Foreign Cultures Week.In 2012, as an artist speaker, he was invited to give lectures in two-year Spanish ceramic master training class, held by Ponte Vadera Art Center and Spain Ceramic Magazine in Ponte Vadera, Deportivo La Coruna Province, Spain.

白明，清華大學美術學院陶瓷藝術設計系長聘教授、系主任，上世紀90年代建立了中國現、當代陶藝的理論基礎。2004年在人民大會堂獲“中國現代陶藝推廣貢獻獎”，《景德鎮傳統制瓷工藝》一書獲第十四屆“中國圖書獎”，1999年至今出版《世界現代陶藝概覽》、《世界著名陶藝家工作室》等著作12部，個人作品集20餘本，多次獲中國美術圖書“金牛獎”，被景德鎮市人民政府、上虞人民政府授予“榮譽市民”，“中國白”國際陶藝大獎賽評審委員會主席，第十二屆美濃國際陶藝展評審委員，第十二屆全國美展評委。多次受美國、法國、韓國、葡萄牙、義大利的重要博物館邀請舉辦個人展覽，2022年北京冬奧會國禮“紅韻——環繞飛揚”的創作者，作品多次被用於APEC會議、金磚國家領導人會晤、G20峰會陳列，是具有國際影響的陶藝家、陶藝理論家。
