Concept of artwork 設計理念:
The Form of Glaze explores the possibility of glaze existing independently from the clay body. The work challenges the conventional view of glaze as mere surface decoration, instead treating it as the main medium. I first fire four glaze sheets at high temperature, then bond them with low-fire glaze and refire to form a three-dimensional shape. Unexpected changes during firing, such as collapsing sheets, are unpredictable and irreproducible, yet bring unique vitality to the work. Embracing openness and uncertainty, I respect the autonomy of materials and find inspiration in dialogue with them.
