This work was born from my time studying in Hualien. When facing hardship, I often walked to the sea and watched the waves rise and fall—like life itself, sometimes turbulent, sometimes calm. I was reminded of Su Shi’s poem Lyrics to the Melody of a Pacified Storm, where he walks through wind and rain with peace of mind. This piece, shaped in clay, holds that spirit: to remain steady amidst life’s storms.
