Concept of artwork 設計理念:
This work begins with a close study of weathered brick cracks, corroded steel beams, and crumbling concrete—symbols of time’s passage and existence’s imperfection. Rather than concealing architecture’s inevitable decay, I translate these textures into ceramic form, transforming structural fragility into a renewed aesthetic that embodies contemporary uncertainty and resilience.

其他說明:
Architecture traditionally pursues stability and perfection, yet the inevitable cracks and weathering imposed by time poignantly reflect our era’s anxieties and uncertainties. Rather than repairing or concealing these fissures, I chose to expose them through ceramics, translating the raw textures of brick, steel, and concrete into a renewed aesthetic language. Using 3D‑printed rollers, I repeatedly impressed each material’s signature surface onto hand‑rolled clay slabs. I then rotated, deformed, and stacked the modules—deliberately disrupting structural harmony to generate purposeful misalignments and undermine notions of completion. This calibrated imbalance foregrounds the contemporary significance of material and texture in ceramic art, visually articulating the aesthetics of imperfect design and deconstruction that confront both individuals and society. The installation’s minimum length, height, and total mass have been meticulously calculated to ensure a commanding yet precarious presence in the gallery space.

It's an elaborate piece, but nothing more and nothing less. The overall composition warrants reconsideration.
