Concept of artwork 設計理念:

Thoughts that arise in the unconscious vanish completely if not recorded—leaving behind only a vague trace. To capture fleeting moments of the unconscious, I did quick, intuitive drawing and accepted the unpredictable effects of engobe and glaze. This approach creates ambiguous scenes that exist on the boundary between consciousness and unconsciousness, enhancing the surreal and poetic atmosphere of the work.

其他說明:

Thoughts that arise in the unconscious vanish completely if not recorded—leaving behind only a vague trace. This led me to record my dreams. I gathered fragments from my dream and tried to interpret them. However instead of arriving at clarity, this process yielded only continuous metaphor. This approach creates ambiguous scenes that exist on the boundary between consciousness and unconsciousness, enhancing the surreal and poetic atmosphere of the work. is the subtitle of these two works and they are visualization of a vivid scene from my dream. In the dream, a dog is seen running away at full speed. But paradoxically, its frantic escape seems rooted in a desire to be caught. Reflecting on this phrase, I began questioning it to myself—What is the dog running from? Am I the dog, or the one chasing it? These questions led me to interpret the scene as a poem. Rather than define them, I present these works just as they are—surrealistic, poetic, and open to interpretation. Each image was repeatedly layered with engobe, redrawn, and glaze. The chemical interactions between the glaze and the layered drawings visualized the multilayered depth of dreams.

I understand the concept of capturing the unconscious. I believe paying attention not only to the painting but also to the form itself leads to deeper expression.
