As a child, I studied abacus under my parents’expectations for academic success. But my interests led me elsewhere. Inspired by the abacus, this work reimagines its beads as hand-crafted porcelain vessels. Each one reflects my choices and marks, forming a personal answer—not the one I was told to find, but the one I chose to follow.
