Teapots' function inherently limits their aesthetic and sculptural potential. Component size and position are fixed by utility, hindering artistic freedom. My work reconstructs the teapot form, breaking free from these functional constraints. Components transform into independent sculptural units, generating fresh visual interest. This explores the inherent aesthetics of objects, shifting from a utility-centric view.

Through a combination of wheel-throwing and slip-casting techniques, celadon pieces underwent reduction firing, and white porcelain pieces underwent oxidation firing, with added gold decoration. Each component of the teapot deviates from its original function and is reiterated in new contexts. The teapot's spout is sometimes inverted, and the handle connects to the lid, supporting the upper section.
