The Chinese character ‘緣 (Yuan)’ refers to the invisible threads that connect people. Based on this idea, I expressed my affection through lines, cherishing the unseen ties between people. This work captures delicate moments of affection that are often overlooked in everyday life. Even the briefest moments of affection—like a ray of sunlight—accumulate over time, gradually growing like a sunlit plant into a form of connection between us.

Because the work consists of very thin porcelain lines, the production process requires precise control and continuous experimentation, as the material is prone to breakage. This technical sensitivity parallels the labor of maintaining loving human relationships. In order to achieve the organically growing form of the thin porcelain lines, I conducted material research to enhance the plasticity of the clay body and reduce thermal deformation, alongside firing experiments using alumina pipes.
