Concept of artwork 設計理念:
Funeral urn inspired by night sky and constellation maps. The sky and stars were a symbol of afterlife among many different cultures for centuries. My concept of urn is universal and modern – it's not assigned to any particular religion or group of people. A simple form was decorated with brass composition. A dark, mat, indigo coloured glaze contrasts with a delicate, warm, metal construction.

The main challenge in making the urn prototype, (besides working on 3d print and plaster casting molds), was to design my own glaze. After many experiments with pigments and coat mixes I managed to achieve a desirable indigo shade that was satin mat, without any shine.
