Concept of artwork 設計理念:
A reimagining of traditional blue and white ceramics using bone china and screen-printed designs. Floral decoration is a familiar design in ceramics, it is exciting to try and bring a fresh perspective to this. I have used weeds and wild flowers for the surface designs. Beautiful in thier own right, they are less often depicted so give a fresher quality to my designs.

Bone china has a beautiful surface quality when left unglazed. Partially glazing the pices allows me to highlight this. Applying print across the two surfaces further highlihts this as the flux in the glaze changes the colour of the print.

I really like how this maker uses weeds as modern decoration on the surface of vessels that can be used everyday. I enjoy the combination of graphic and illustrative floral patterns which decorate the vessels and plates in this collection.
