Concept of artwork 設計理念:

How many bites do you take with a meal? Again and again I have noticed the role of concentration in the experience of eating. It reminds me of some Asian dishes that are served in small portions measured for each bite. They encourage attention for the individual, as opposed to the large portions and "uneven pearls" on the hierarchical baroque table or the average Western lunch table. There is no hierarchy here in this dining table theatre, but there is identity. The actors are small vessels of geometric shapes combined in different proportions. No combination is like the other, and some are out of the ordinary. Together, they visualize a person's meal, divided into small and large bites and sips, each of which attracts attention.

其他說明:

Design students from the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen were invited by the Kunstgewerbe-Museum Dresden to examine the question of how objects made of porcelain, ceramics and glass can trigger, support and influence communication at the table. A meal not only serves to ingest food, but is also associated with a complex web of sensory perceptions, social interactions and, last but not least, communication. At the table, cultures meet with their different customs, rituals and taboos. How can objects be created that bring topics of conversation to the table?
