Concept of artwork 設計理念:
Under the theme of 'refloat', I thought that the oppressed and submerged distinctive people should not be suppressed. Rather their variety should be regarded as being respected and special. I really like the ceramics, but most of the people are not knowing the charm of ceramics. I thought that the genre of ceramics was still a minor field in itself to public. However, I think that ceramics has a special beauty that distinguished from other materials for example the soft properties of soil, the consideration of the beautiful color from white porcelain, glaze, cyanidation, and handicraft through hand. So I worked with the attention in detail. My work has an overly colorful form in the form of ceramics utilizing the merits of pottery only. I tried to show the grotesque texture through the repetition of the organisms in the sea and the eroded appearance through accumulation. This is a visual image that can be unpleasant or mysterious depending on the viewer. However, I regarded the visually uncomfortable grotesque texture in my work as unusual beauty and projected a minor sensibility.
