2019 FRANZ Rising Star Project

Concept of artwork 設計理念:

我沒有在這件作品上使用多餘的顏色，因為單色可以表現出安靜和平靜。當人們把花放在花瓶裡，花的顏色就會突出。這種對比將使花瓶更加平和，更活躍。黑白代表著沉默與和諧。我重複這兩個來擴展觀眾的視覺體驗。花瓶上的白色紋理表達了時間的感覺。粗糙的白色部分類似於岩石和光滑的黑色表面，強調不同的紋理。我混合了看起來好像是時間老化的表面，以及非常現代的形狀。我的作品中有許多對比，如顏色，紋理和形狀，但我把它們放在一起沒有矛盾。標題“中立”意味著在這項工作中，相反的事物自然可以平衡地存在。 I did not use colors on this piece because monochrome can express quietness and calmness. When people put the flower in the vase, the color of the flower will stand out. This contrast will make the vase more peaceful and make the flower more alive. I think the black and white represent the silence and harmony. I repeat these two to extend the viewer’s visual experience. The textures of the white slip on the vase express the feeling of time that is passing. The rough white part that is similar to a rock and the smooth black surface emphasize the different textures. I mixed the surface that looks as if it was the aged over the time, and the shape that is quite contemporary. There are many contrasts in my work such as colors, textures and the shape but I put them together without contradiction. The title “Neutral” means that in this work the opposite things can naturally exist in balance.
