Concept of artwork 設計理念:
This piece was made after a long period of process development. I based the process on a glass casting technique called pate de verre. I have created this form by individually hand making thousands of tiny porcelain balls. They are then fused with glaze to set them in their final desired form. I work with coloured clay throughout its plastic states, aiming to highlight the meditative process of the material. My sculptural and abstract forms explore complex and intense surface textures and intend to provoke intrigue. In a world that is increasingly changing minute by minute I attempts to slow down, allowing to steadily evolve, brick by brick, pin mark by pin mark. My work is about a consideration of the everyday, taking the time to notice the unseen things in our environment and re-evaluating them.

The name for this piece is taken from a recent research trip to India. The colours have been swatched from streets in Rajasthan. Bright Indian colours which have been bleached by the sun and washed away by the monsoons. Coloured clay and glaze represents these colours and layers to create porcelain strata over the form.
